Randy has focused his practice on credit unions, residential and commercial real estate, title examination and insurance, creditor bankruptcy representation, foreclosures, collections and litigation.  He works with both institutional and individual clients. 

Randy combines his legal knowledge and street savvy to find ways to enhance his client’s position.  Randy thinks outside the box to find ways to protect and benefit his creditor clients.  He is well respected by debtor attorneys and works well with them to resolve claims and disputes in the least costly manner.  

He has represented and assisted clients in real estate purchases, sales, and refinances and is an authorized agent for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company. After issuing more than 10,000 title insurance policies during his career, Randy is proficient and experienced in examining title and is approved to write title insurance for numerous lenders.

Further, the longevity of his business relationships with his clients is testimony to his knowledge and service, as he is always looking out for his clients’ best interests.

Randy earned his undergraduate degree (Cum Laude) in accounting from the University of Florida in 1983, and his Juris Doctor (Cum Laude) from the University of Miami in 1986.  Randy was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1986 and the Broward County Bar in 1986. Since then, Randy has been practicing in the Fort Lauderdale area, with the law firm of Martin & Bennis, P.A., and now with Bennis & Perloff, P.A.

Randy is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida,  in the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida, and in the Supreme Court of the United States.

JOHN W. PERLOFF

John’s practice centers on real property, and he handles matters that relate to the buying, selling, financing, development and use of real estate.  Over the term of his legal career, he has experience in large commercial transactions, title examination and insurance, foreclosure and title litigation, mortgage loan workouts, mortgage lending, leasing, and property management. Moreover, as a problem-solver and dealmaker, John enjoys approaching complex business matters with a unique and creative perspective.

From an educational standpoint, John received both his undergraduate business degree (BBA 1983, Summa Cum Laude) and his law degree (JD 1986, Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Miami in Coral Gables.  He has been a resident of South Florida, and an active participant in this community, for virtually his entire adult life. 

In addition to his office practice, John is a member of the Florida Bar and the Broward County Bar Association; was a Board Certified Real Estate Lawyer (1994 – 2004); served as member and chairman of a local Bar Grievance Committee (17E 2000-2003); and is an active member of both of the Attorneys’ Real Estate Councils serving Broward County.  He is also an authorized agent for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, and he writes title insurance for his clients on the transactions he handles.

When not working, he enjoys traveling, exercising, carpentry and woodworking, playing poker, and engaging in amateur archaeology.
